MH BLACK POCO BEAUTY "Star"

2009 Quarter Horse

I purchased Star in 2015 and she is now my main competition horse. She is a barrel horse but has competed in other events at circuit shows like halter, english, western performance, and racing classes. We compete at NBHA barrel races and were Reserve Champion in the Youth 4D at the 2019 Kansas NBHA State Championships. She's the boss of the herd, but gentle with kids and enjoys trail rides, however she knows her job when it comes to showing.

ARWEN

2017 Mustang Mare

Arwen is a 3 year old mustang mare born in a holding facility in Nevada. She was randomly assigned to me in the 2018 Ft. Worth, Texas Extreme Mustang Makeover. I adopted her from the Bureau of Land Management and had 100 days to train her from a completely wild horse before we competed in Texas against other youth trainers. We finished 11th overall out of 25 youth. In 2019, I started her undersaddle and we competed at the Kansas State Fair in the 4-H 2yo Project. We also competed in a few events put on during the Mustang Days at the Kansas State Fair while we were there, as well as carried the Kansas flag during the opening ceremony of the competition. My goal is to compete in barrel racing and western performance events with her. She loves people and attention.

BENTLEY

2018 Mustang Gelding

Bentley is a 2 year old mustang gelding from the Pine Nut Mountains HMA in Nevada. I selected him for the 2019 Wild Horse Youth Challenge at the Kansas State Fair. I had 100 days to train him from being wild to compete against other youth trainers in Hutchinson, KS during the state fair. We were reserve champion in my age group and I adopted him following the competition. My plan is to start him undersaddle this year and hopefully, he will be a barrel racing horse in a few years. He's very lovable and peppermints are the way to his heart.
